======================================= BLACK SABBATH BOOTLEG ALBUM DISCOGRAPHY ======================================= Version 2.28 written by Alexander Rack (arack@snafu.de) 12/05/2004 Total sum of bootlegs mentioned in this list (including different versions of the same record, like red or black vinyl, different cover etc): 236 + 3 IMPORTANT changes on versions 2.x compared to 1.x: I re-did important information on the vinyl part. With the time it has become necessary to list the stencils (everything written in the run-off area of the vinyl) too, specially to differ between bootlegs which got similiar covers but are made in different periods and companys (best example is the "Death Riders" LP with colored inserts, the black vinyl version was released much more earlier then the red vinyl version, the only possibility to see that they are made from different plates is just the stencil) or to find out that different bootlegs are made of the same plate (eg "Death Riders" (green inserts) and "Live At Civic Centre"). Most of the stencils (95 %) are handwritten but if there is one in typed letters it is mentioned! I did not mention CD stencils as it is not that necessary as with the records. The list so far is not complete. Information which is not mentioned completely is not printed on the records, information which might be on the records but which I do not have is listed as "unknown". Most of the vinyl info in this list is based on Pete Sarfas Black Sabbath Bootleg List. Unfortunately he mentioned Company etc. information in brackets, if he had not found anything on the cover he printed the stencil there. Records which I do not have to check out, I left the info in brackets as I found them! SO PLEASE COLLECTORS, CHECK OUT YOUR VINYL BOOTLEG COLLECTION AND HELP ME OUT TO MAKE THIS LIST COMPLETE. IN THE MIDDLE OF 2000 THIS LIST WILL BE RELEASED IN A BLACK SABBATH COLLECTORS BOOK. SO THIS IS AN EASY WAY TO GET YOUR NAME IN THE "THANX LIST"! I also re-did the information about catalogue numbers and companys or labels for the vinyl part. I am still not sure if this necessary for the CD part too as most of the time bootleg CDs only appear in one version. I stoped counting the self-burned/faked bootleg CDs as new versions! Also not mentioned in the Black Sabbath Bootleg Album Discography are the since 1998 appearing self-burned bootleg CDs from Japan. Laws have changed their drastically so most CDs come with printed cover but only contain a CD-R inside. I only will mention those ones when they contain a completely new recording or anything else exciting! So far I removed all CD-Rs from the list as this is a real-bootleg discography and not a tape trading list. VINYL ===== LIVE AT PLUMPTON ---------------- Source: Audimax, Henry-Ford-Bau, FU-Berlin, Germany 26/06/1970 Side 1: Paranoid/Iron Man/Guitar Improvisation/Black Sabbath (incl.extra verse) Side 2: War Pigs/Hand Of Doom/Rat Salad/N.I.B. Stencil Side 1: AF-1002-A z Stencil Side 2: AF-1002-B z Company and/or Label: none, white label Catalogue-Number: none Comments: The first and one of the rarest Sabbath bootleg albums. Comes in plain white cover with red and black sticker. Quality very good. Sticker sometimes only b/w photocopied. Not 100% sure about the date. For years it was said that this concert was recorded at Plumpton Jazz Festival but you can hear German voices in the back- ground and the recording is absolutely the same concert as the well-known tape "Berlin, Audimax 1970" even tracklist and sound quality are different. Also Black Sabbath did not play on that "Plumpton Jazz Festival". On that date they had a gig in London's "Marquee Club". The Berlin show could have been recorded by local TV stations. Reports about the show were aired later by "SFB". We are still looking for definite information. RAT SALAD --------- Source: Audimax, Henry-Ford-Bau, FU-Berlin, Germany 26/06/1970 Side 1: Paranoid/Iron Man/Guitar Improvisation/Black Sabbath (incl.extra verse) Side 2: War Pigs/Hand Of Doom/Rat Salad/N.I.B. Stencil Side 1: GLX-4026 A DMU VP Stencil Side 2: GLX-4026 B DMU VP Company and/or Label: Warning Records & Tapes LTD., "Side A this Rat Salad" on silver label, other side with white label Catalogue-Number: XE-09746 Comments: Reissue of the famous "Live At Plumpton" bootleg, probably from Germany 2003. Quite bad sound due to some distortions, sounds like master was done of a mp3 source. Back cover states source "Audimax, ... FU Berlin ..." as propageted by this discography - quite nice! PARIS 20/12/1970 ---------------- Source: Olympia, Paris, France, 20/12/1970 Side 1: Paranoid/Hand Of Doom/Rat Salad(part)/Iron Man/Guitar Improvisation/ Black Sabbath Side 2: N.I.B./Behind The Wall Of Sleep/War Pigs/Fairies Wear Boots both versions: Stencil Side 1: BS-1-A Stencil Side 2: BS-1-B Company and/or Label: none, various label (see comments) Catalogue-Number: none Comments: Single sleeve with black and white group shot. Contains the usual Paris 1970 recordings in perfect quality. Source of recording on cover is wrong for some songs, not all tracks are listed. Ebay auctions said "limited edition of 300" but I doubt that, I guess they are more. Some of these picture LPs are numbered and on other the area for the number is left blank which points out that they are more than one edition. Probably a German release from 2004. One of the very rare Black Sabbath picture LP bootlegs! The box set contains three LPs and is numbered and limited to 300 copies. Around 100 copies were made in marbled purple vinyl - the rest of the edition is black vinyl. The box also comes with a huge booklet - containing various articles and photos of Sabbath from the seventies plus a (faked) introduction text by Gerald Woodruffe. The recording itself is the famous 1975 soundboard recording which was floating around the internet for about one year before it was released here and on CD under the title of "Heaven And Earth" - deluxe sound and rare tracks garanteed (the high frequencies sometimes sound a bit distorted which is not the case on the CD release). Second jam on side 3 contains the famous "Sometimes I'm happy" song. Group shots, autographed on back by band. Available in two versions. First one has misprinting on front cover 'Killing Yorself To Die' while the second one is showing the correct title. One of the best Sabbath boots and also one of the most expensives. I did receive an e-mail from a guy who was involved in that bootleg. He said that the number of all bootleg-lps printed by Stone Records including Sabbath and Hendrix as well as others were 16.000! The latter were the best selling. So you can judge yo(u)rself how many copies of "Killing Yo(u)rself To Die" were made! Somehow it is really a copy of the "The 1978 American Tour" bootleg. Excellent mono. A second copy is available: label is "Trade Mark Of Quality" instead of "Full Tilt Rec." with pig face design. Insert is printed on yellow (or blue or red) instead of pink paper. Some info on this recordings from Rob Dwyer: Side 1 is indeed from Pittsburgh 9/2/78. This show was recorded for King Biscuit and it lacks the first song, "Snowblind". Side 2 is from an earlier King Biscuit broadcast from 1977. I've narrowed this gig down to Pittsburgh 12/8/76. The fact that "Gypsy" was performed is the clear giveaway that these tapes were definitely not from the NEVER SAY DIE tour, but there is other evidence as well. Also available as a second version which got only a front cover (skull) which is printed on green paper instead of red background (I have one copy with the insert printed on red paper but I am not sure if this was really a new issue) and also is a little bit smaller. Finally there is also a limited edition in red vinyl! This red vinyl edition was printed in 1996 in Germany. About 500 copies in red vinyl were made. LIVE AT CIVIC CENTRE --------------------- Source: Civic Centre, Providence, Rhode Island, USA, 12/8/1980 Side 1: Supertzar/War Pigs/Neon Knights/Heaven And Hell Side 2: N.I.B./Iron Man/Die Young/Paranoid both versions: Stencil Side 1: OBS-1666-A Stencil Side 2: OBS-1666-B Company and/or Label: none, white label, USA Catalogue-Number: none Comments: American FM radio broadcast in very good/excellent mono. Loose leaf black and white sleeve with vampire design on both sides. Same recordings as on "Death Riders/Their Satanic Majesties Return". Funnily the etched numbers in the run off area are the same like on Tapio's "DR/TSMR" version (2nd version colored inserts). I don't know who made which bootleg version in which cover. But any info will be appreciated! The vinyl itself is really bad. Something must have gone wrong. Front cover gives no title, just "Black Sabbath"! I have a second copy with colored images as inserts. First side contains short announcement by Ronnie James Dio and then the concert ends in a riot. Second side is some industrial related music, sounds like early Scorn. Actually: no Sabbath music at all. Definitely no need to buy it. Available in three different covers, one shows a big face, the other a burning car and finally a TV screen-shot (7 live) showing a police man (all inserts). Available in 4 different versions all in excellent stereo. Three have colour sleeves of which one is a promo copy pressed on red vinyl (golden letters on frontcover), one is "usual" copy on red vinyl and one "usual" on black vinyl, the other has a plain white cover. The plain white one often can be seen with covers illustrated by previous owners or with a b/w insert showing track list, titles, bandmembers. Track list nearly the same as "London Hammersmith Odeon" without "Children Of The Grave". Recordings are definitely from a different concert then "London Hammersmith Odeon". Quality very good. After "Neon Knights" Ronnie James Dio can be heard saying "...to see you again, some of you the third time"! Black Sabbath played four gigs only at Hammersmith and in Tokyo on this tour, so this points out that BUER recordings are from one of those Hammersmith shows (could be 1980 or 1981 - Sabbath played twice four gigs at Hammersmith) or Tokyo (Japan). Rob Dwyer investigated the whole thing more in detail: "A few collectors had already determined that BUER ALBUM could not have been from the London 1/20/81 show (the 3rd gig of 4 at the Hammersmith), due to obvious differences between this and the known tape for that show. So, I took a closer look at the set lists for the Tokyo shows and found a perfect match with the 3rd show they played! This was at Nippon Seinenkan Hall in Tokyo, Japan on November 17th, 1980! Having known that Sabbath played two shows on the previous day at Sun Plaza Hall, I knew that this would be #3. After taking a look at Jarkko Aaltonen's trade list, I saw that the set list for his Tokyo 11/17/80 matched BUER ALBUM perfectly, right down to the missing "Children Of The Grave" encore and CD running times! But just to be sure, I asked my honorary Sabbathlive ambassador from Japan, Shigeru Sato, to compare the recordings for me. This morning, he confirmed the match, so BUER ALBUM is almost definitely from Tokyo 11/17/80!" See also www.sabbathlive.com ! Black and white sleeve with live shots on back. Geezer mistakenly named as Bill Ward. Due to the fact that I've seen this bootleg now so often it might be possible that they are more than 1000 copies pressed. A very rare second version is available. Differences are: the front cover (white on black instead of black on white print) and now correct band listing on back cover. Side 1: Neon Knights Side 2: Children Of The Sea Stencil Side 1: 89271 A 1 Stencil Side 2: 89271 B 1 Catalogue-Number: 89271 Comments: 7" bootleg in poor quality. Front Cover shows only the band name while back cover shows photo of the Gillan Line Up. The single appeard first time in 1987 so recordings should be taken from the 'Eternal Idol'-Tour with Tony Martin on vocals. In my eyes the recordings sound like taken from 1989 or 1990 tour! Not 100% sure about the date. RETURN TO 1969 -------------- (Element Of Crime elements 010) Source: Audimax, Henry-Ford-Bau, FU-Berlin, Germany 26/06/1970 CD: Paranoid/Iron Man/Guitar Improvisation/Black Sabbath (incl. extra verse)/ War Pigs/Hand Of Doom/Rat Salad/N.I.B. (42:57 min) Comments: A copy of the legendary vinyl bootleg. Recordings taken from 'Live At Plumpton' LP. Sound quality is less good than on the homemade bootleg "Live At Plumpton". Cover says different date than on the two other Plumpton-bootlegs! Supposed to be made in Japan. Not 100% sure about the date. PARANOID QUADORA MIX -------------------- (Essence ESR CD-7101) Source: "Black Sabbath" and "Paranoid" album, partly quadora mixes CD: War Pigs/Paranoid/Planet Caravan #1/Planet Caravan #1/Iron Man #1/Iron Man #2/Electric Funeral/Hand Of Doom/Rat Salad/Fairies Wear Boots/Black Sabbath/Wicked World (62:46 min) Comments: This CD is a quite boring/useless. They only transfered the quadora mix to CD - of course the whole thing sounds different but actually not new, just less good than the original. Imagine how something done for four speakers sounds when you play it on only two speakers - strange but not interesting! Artwork done in the style of the 1996 UK remaster series with some photos from the Chris Welch book. Some tracks ("Black Sabbath", "Wicked World") are the original tracks - they just took one channel (mono) and bounds it into two channels to make it sound quadora-mixed. Better go out and buy the original "Paranoid" Quadmix US-LP via ebay.com ! Released in Japan 2002. ULTIMATE RARITIES VOL1 ---------------------- (Aces High AH CD 057) Source: as stated in track list CD: Behind The Wall Of Sleep (Ozzman Cometh)/Electric Sleep (Sheavy)/Black Sabbath (Ozzman Cometh)/Black Sabbath (Ozzman Cometh)/War Pigs (Ozzman Cometh)/Fairies Wear Boots (Ozzman Cometh)/Spiral Architect (Quad mix)/ Killing Yourself To Live (Quad mix)/Looking For Today (Quad mix)/Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (Quad mix)/Hand Of Doom (Berlin 1970)/Paranoid (Berlin 1970) (69:42 min) Comments: This so called rarities CD is the worst RipOff that ever happened so far. As one can see in the track list - song 1, 3, 4 and 5 are simply taken off the official release "The Ozzman Cometh" (Ozzy Osbourne compilation), the second track is not by Sabbath, it is recorded and officially released by a Doom rock band called "Sheavy". The quad mix are again the useless stuff which can be already found on the other quad mix releases but only with a worser sound quality and finally the two live tracks are taken from the famous "Berlin 1970/Live At Plumpton" recordings but again with a quite bad sound. Released in Japan 2002. Numbered and says limited to 300 copies. Same concert as "COPPER", "Paris 20/12/70" etc. Due to the low budget booklet etc. for collectors only! Made in Italy. Available with two different front covers: a) b/w shot of Tony Iommi with a huge cross in the background b) b/w group shot with blue background. IRON MAN (BLACK SABBATH) ------------------------ (Los Grandos Del Rock No.36) Source: Olympia, Paris, France, 20/12/1970 California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 (*) CD: Hand Of Doom/Iron Man/Black Sabbath/Snowblind (*)/Sweet Leaf (*)/War Pigs (*)/Iommi's Solo (*)/Behind The Wall Of Sleep/Fairies Wear Boots (55:17 min) Comments: A "cross-over" with the Paris TV broadcast and the famous California Jam recordings both released countless times on other bootlegs as you can see in this list. The sound quality of the Paris show is the usual while the California Jam recordings have an incredible good sound. Due to the cover it is a kind of a limited edition ("Fabbri Editori, Not for sale separately, Made by Tecval for Ecofina Italy"). The CD was released together with a music magazine in Italy - the cover is done in the magazine layout, mostly b/w text printings. So far the magazine is sold out! Two versions with a different front cover appeared lately on ebay: one in color showing lots of record covers, patches, rock symbols as well as a "comic" guitar on front plus track list, the other one has only a black background plus track list and a red square saying "Rock Music" inside. PARANOID -------- (Alegra CD 9030 AAD) Source: Olympia, Paris, France, 20/12/1970 California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 (*) CD: Paranoid/Hand Of Doom/N.I.B./Behind The Wall Of Sleep/Fairies Wear Boots/ Iron Man/Black Sabbath/War Pigs/* Supernaut/* Improvisation (55:59 min) Comments: Cover has a picture of the original line-up laying down in front of a scull. LIVE 1970 --------- (Armando Curcio Editore 1991, Italy) Source: Olympia, Paris, France, 20/12/1970 CD: Paranoid/Iron Man/Black Sabbath/Fairies Wear Boots/N.I.B./Behind The Wall Of Sleep/Hand Of Doom (42:28 min) Comments: Another cheap copy of the Paris TV show. Sound is good mono. Front cover shows a painting of Tony Iommi in his classic posture. ENCICLOPEDIA STORICA HARD ROCK & HEAVY METAL - Black Sabbath Live In Paris 1970 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Pilz CD, BP 002 CD, Italy) Source: Olympia, Paris, France, 20/12/1970 CD: Paranoid/Hand Of Doom/Iron Man/Black Sabbath/N.I.B./Behind The Wall Of Sleep/War Pigs/Fairies Wear Boots (52:48 min) Comments: One of those countless Italian CDs with the Paris 1970 recordings. Plain text cover. ARCHIVES From The Darkness 1970 ------------------------------- (AZIR Record 2003 Archives 1) Source: Olympia, Paris, France, 20/12/1970 CD: Paranoid/Hand Of Doom/Iron Man/Black Sabbath/N.I.B./Behind The Wall Of Sleep/War Pigs/Fairies Wear Boots (51:35 min) Comments: Russian release of the Paris 1970 recordings. Deluxe artwork with demon design, clear tray, booklet folds out to a small poster showing the front cover. Says limited to 500 copies only, made in 2003. IMPRESSIONS FROM THE PAST ------------------------- (Metal Mania METAL 110) Source: Filmore West, San Francisco, USA, 27/11/1970, + unknown, * Beat Club, Bremen, Germany, 1970, CD: N.I.B./War Pigs/Black Sabbath/Iron Man/Behind The Wall Of Sleep/Hand Of Doom/Rat Salad/Fairies Wear Boots/Medley: a) Wicked World b) Guitar Solo c) Wicked World Reprise/Paranoid+/Blue Suede Shoes* (65:54 min) Comments: Sound quality changes from very good to good, cover shows the typical Black Sabbath cross. BLACK NIGHT IN SAN FRANCISCO ---------------------------- (Planet Records [1995], @ 666 Shimato St., Tokyo, Japan. Catalog #0871-21) Source: Fillmore West, San Francisco 11/27/70 * Beat Club, Bremen, Germany, 1970 CD: Black Sabbath*/Blue Suede Shoes*/Paranoid*/Iron Man*/Paranoid/N.I.B./War Pigs/Black Sabbath/Iron Man/Behind The Wall Of Sleep/Hand Of Doom/Fairies Wear Boots/Wicked World (77:37 min) Comments: Better quality than the "Impressions From The Past" sound quality and also has the opening number 'Paranoid' which is not included on the "Impressions From The Past" bootleg CD. Address on the CD cover is an imaginary one! WICKED SABBATH -------------- (ZA66) Source: New York Stadium, Stanley Park, Toronto/CDN 18/7/1971 CD: N.I.B./War Pigs/Sweet Leaf/Black Sabbath/Iron Man/Children Of The Grave/ Wicked World/Paranoid/Fairies Wear Boots incl. Orchid (64:44 min) Comments: Japan bootleg in good sound quality. Front cover shows picture from the belgium "Paranoid" TV Clip while back cover has a picture from early seventies. THE MADMAN YEARS ---------------- (Aces High Sound Production AH CD 016) Source: London, England, 1978 Coliseum, Wichita, Kansas, USA, 25/03/1971 (*) CD: Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Gypsy/Children Of The Grave/N.I.B. */ War Pigs */Black Sabbath */Iron Man */Wicked World incl. Guitar Solo */ Paranoid (68:53 min) Comments: Outstanding bootleg from Japan, released 2000. First tracks are taken off a radio show, so far unreleased, superb quality. 1971 show is good quality - with an amazing solo during Wicked World. Numbered and cover says limited to 300 copies. TOMORROW'S DREAM ---------------- (Cannonball CA-2003012) Source: Tucson, Arizona, USA, 16/03/1972 CD: Introduction-Solo Tony Iommi/N.I.B./Tomorrow's Dream/War Pigs/Sweet Leaf/ Iron Man/Snowblind/Wicked World/Embry~Children Of The Grave/Paranoid/Solo Bill Ward~Fairies Wear Boots (75:11 min) Comments: Very interesting release, very rare to see recordings from 1972 on bootleg. Released probably in the USA in 2003/2004. Very good mono recording - better than "Wicked Sabbath" in my ears. SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH - TEST MIX QUADROPHONIC ---------------------------------------------- (DFF-03) Source: "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and "Sabotage" test mix CD: Sabbath Bloody Sabbath/A National Acrobat/Sabra Cadabra/Killing Yourself To Live/Who Are You/Looking For Today/Spiral Architect/Hole In The Sky/ Symptom Of The Universe/Megalomania/Thrill Of It All/Am I Going Insane (Radio)/The Write (76:15 min) Comments: Another of this strange so called quadrophonic mixes of early Sabbath albums. Don't expect something new - mostly bass, vocals or the guitar are mixed in the foreground or background. Only on "A National Acrobat" a second vocal line can be heard which is not part of the original release. Released in Japan 2002. BAGDAD ------ (German Record GR 032) Source: California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 CD: Tomorrows Dream/Sweet Leaf/Killing Yourself To Live/War Pigs/Snowblind/ Sabra Cadabra/Supernaut Part 1 & 2 & 3/Iron Man/Sabra Cadabra Reprise/ Paranoid/Embryo/Children Of The Grave (63:27 min) Comments: Black and blue photo showing some bombed houses, booklet shows Ozzy in the "Diary Of A Madman" period. Quality good mono. CANADIAN NIGHTMARE ------------------ (Aulica A 120, Italy) Source: California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 CD: Tomorrows Dream/Sweet Leaf/Killing Yourself To Live/War Pigs/Snowblind/ Sabra Cadabra/Supernaut Part 1 & 2 & 3/Iron Man/Sabra Cadabra Reprise/ Paranoid/Embryo/Children Of The Grave (66:04 min) Comments: Quality good mono. Same concert as "Bagdad", "Metal Mess"and "Live USA". Some titles are mispelled (e.g. Supernault instead of Supernaut). Worst sounding of all 'California Jam' boots. LIVE USA -------- (Live & Alive, imtrat, imt 900.098) Source: California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 CD: Tomorrows Dream/Sweet Leaf/Killing Yourself To Live/War Pigs/Snowblind/ Sabra Cadabra/Supernaut Part 1 & 2 & 3/Iron Man/Sabra Cadabra Reprise/ Paranoid/Embryo/Children Of The Grave (59:13 min) Comments: Same concert as "Bagdad". Good mono. Cover shows a bat. Best sound quality of all 'California Jam' recordings. Also availalbe on tape! METAL MESS ---------- (Oh Boy 1-9016) Source: California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 CD: Tomorrows Dream/Sweet Leaf/Killing Yourself To Live/War Pigs/Snowblind/ Sabra Cadabra/Supernaut Part 1 & 2 & 3/Iron Man/Sabra Cadabra Reprise/ Paranoid/Embryo/Children Of The Grave (68:57 min) Comments: Same concert as "Bagdad" and "Live USA". Good mono. Front cover shows "Mob Rules" line up. Available in two versions. First issue has a CD with normal black 'Oh Boy'-label-printing while the second issue comes with a picture label on the CD. OH BOY ... THE COMPILATION -------------------------- (Oh Boy 1-9000) Source: California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 CD: various artists/Black Sabbath - Children Of The Grave (4:09 min, taken from the Oh Boy-Bootleg CD "Metal Mess")/various artists Comments: Believe it or not: this is real! A bootleg CD sampler from the label "Oh Boy", containing 14 tracks from various boot-CDs released by Oh Boy. One track, as you can see, is taken from "Metal Mess" (more details see above). The cover says this to be a promotional copy only, numbered limited edition of 1000 copies! IRON MAN VOL.2 - LIVE UNAUTHORISED ---------------------------------- (Banana BAN-053-B) Source: California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 CD: Tomorrows Dream/Sweet Leaf/Killing Yourself To Live/War Pigs/Snowblind/ Sabra Cadabra/Supernaut Part 1 & 2 & 3/Iron Man/Orchid/Sabra Cadabra Reprise/Paranoid/Orchid Reprise/Embryo/Children Of The Grave (68:10 min) Comments: Same concert as "Bagdad", "Metal Mess" and "Live USA". Australian only release! CANNABIS CONFUSION ------------------ (Chase The Dragon CTD Records CTD 005 (c) 1995) Source: California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 CD: Tomorrow's Dream/Sweet Leaf/Killing Yourself To Live/War Pigs/Snowblind/ Sabra Cadabra/Supernaut/Iron Man/Sabra Cadabra (Reprise)/Paranoid/Embryo/ Children Of The Grave (64:07 min) Comments: Another copy of "Bagdad" etc. Cover shows Ozzy singing, with Cannabis plants under the bandname. Black and white photo, tinted green. Photo inside of the booklet shows Ozzy from "Blizzard Of Ozz" era. Sound quality is good. People watch for the following thing: beyond the CD tray is another photo of Ozzy which can only be seen through the small hole in the tray. CDR copies on thermal silver-to-silver CDRs appeared - do not mix with the original release! SABBATH WICKED SABBATH ---------------------- (Gypsy Eye 049) Source: California Jam 1, Ontario Motor Speedway, USA, 6/4/1974 CD: Tomorrow's Dream/Sweet Leaf/Killing Yourself To Live/War Pigs/Snowblind/ Sabra Cadabra/Drum Solo/Supernaut/Iron Man/Sabra Cadabra (Reprise)/Paranoid (60:12 min) Comments: No end 'til California. This CD is the first Japan release of the countless re-issue serie of the "California Jam '74" recording. Nice cover artwork but expensive as the usual Japan stuff. Quality is ok but they are better boots of this show than "Sabbath Wicked Sabbath". Cover says tracklist includes "Wicked World" which is actually not the fact. Released Japan 1998. SABOTAGE ON ROUTE:666 --------------------- (Bondage Music BON245) Source: Swing Auditorium, National Orange Showground, San Bernadino, California, USA, ??/09/1975 CD: Supertzar/Killing Yourself To Live/Hole In The Sky/Snowblind/Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Sabra Cadabra/Jam-Guitar Solo/Jam-Drum Solo/Supernaut/ Iron Man/Guitar Solo incl. Orchid and Rock'n'Roll Doctor Jam/Black Sabbath/ Spiral Architect (76:13 min) Comments: Another bootleg CD from the Japanese label Bondage. Rough audience recording - very good for that period of recordings but far away from the quality of the 1975 soundboard recordings which appeared lately on "Heaven And Earth" or the official release "Past Lives". Second jam contains the famous "Sometimes I'm happy" song. Released in Japan 2002. HEAVEN AND EARTH ---------------- (Bondage Music BON269/270) Source: Convention Hall, Asbury Park, New Jersey, USA, 06/08/1975 * unknown recording, definitely not Black Sabbath or prior incarantion CD1: Supertzar/Killing Yourself To Live/Hole In The Sky/Snowblind/Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Megalomania/Sabra Cadabra/Jam-Guitar Solo/Jam-Drum Solo/Supernaut/Iron Man (70:05 min) CD2: Guitar Solo incl. Orchid, Rock'n'Roll Doctor Jam and Don't Start (Too Late)/Black Sabbath/Spiral Architect/Embryo/Children Of The Grave/ Paranoid/Instrumental Jam 1*/Instrumental Jam 2*/Instrumental Jam 3* (72:27 min) Comments: One of the most exciting releases within the last couple of years. A complete soundboard recording from 1975 - quality as good as on Worcester 1983 bootlegs or Paris 1970 stuff. Includes live versions of "Megalomania" and "Hole In The Sky" - hardly to find on any other live recording in that quality. Second jam on CD1 also contains the famous "Sometimes I'm happy" song. On the end of CD2 some instrumental jams can be found which are said to be Earth-sessions. I once had the chance to play that stuff to Tony Iommi and he assured me that this is not him nor any prior Black Sabbath incarnation playing. Double CD released by Bondage in Japan 2002. ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE ------------------- (Home Entertainment Network HEN 063-1/2) Source: Convention Hall, Asbury Park, New Jersey, USA, 06/08/1975 * unknown recording, definitely not Black Sabbath or prior incarantion CD1: Supertzar/Killing Yourself To Live/Hole In The Sky/Snowblind/Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Megalomania/Sabra Cadabra/Jam-Guitar Solo/Jam-Drum Solo/Supernaut/Iron Man (70:05 min) CD2: Guitar Solo incl. Orchid, Rock'n'Roll Doctor Jam and Don't Start (Too Late)/Black Sabbath/Spiral Architect/Embryo/Children Of The Grave/ Paranoid/Instrumental Jam 1*/Instrumental Jam 2*/Instrumental Jam 3* (72:25 min) Comments: A plain copy of the "Heaven And Earth" bootleg. Comes as deluxe digipack (gatefold - same format as the "Reunion" digipack). Released in 2003, probably from Europe (Germany). LET SLIP THE PIGS OF WAR ------------------------ (Back Street Kids 2002) Source: Convention Hall, Asbury Park, New Jersey, USA, 06/08/1975 CD: Supertzar/Killing Yourself To Die/Hole In The Sky/Snowblind/Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Megalomania/Sabra Cadabra/Jam Session/Supernaut/ Spiral Architect/Children Of The Grave/Paranoid (77:48 min) Comments: Another release of this famous 1975 soundboard recording. This time on a single CD, high quality artwork. Released 2003 in Europe. DYING TO LIVE ------------- (Omega 2003) CD1: Supertzar/Killing Yourself To Live/Hole In The Sky/Snowblind/Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Megalomania (41:16 min) CD2: Sabra Cadabra/Jam-Guitar Solo/Jam-Drum Solo/Supernaut/Iron Man/Guitar Solo incl. Orchid, Rock'n'Roll Doctor Jam and Don't Start (Too Late)/Black Sabbath/Spiral Architect/Embryo/Children Of The Grave/Paranoid (58:56 min) Comments: Another clone from this famous 1975 soundboard recording. Silver CDs (surely thermal silver-to-silver CDRs) with inkjet printed labels, booklet printed on deluxe photo paper but also probably home made. Released 2003, widely available via ebay.com! MEGALOMANIAC ARCHITECT ---------------------- (Bondage Music BON214/215 (cover) BON224/225 (CD)) Source: Hammersmith Odeon, London, UK, 13/01/1976 * Civic Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, 01/02/1978 CD1: Supertzar/Killing Yourself To Live/Hole In The Sky/Snowblind/Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Megalomania/Sabra Cadabra/Guitar Solo/ Improvisation (... Sometimes I'm Happy ...)/Drum Solo/Supernaut/Iron Man (70:05 min) CD2: Black Sabbath/Spiral Architect/Embryo/Children Of The Grave/Killing Yourself To Live */Snowblind */War Pigs */A National Acrobat */ Cornucopia */Sabra Cadabra - Guitar Solo */Improvisation (... Sometimes I'm Happy ...) - Drum Solo/Supernaut - Drum/Guitar Solo/Sabra Cadabra (reprise) (75:05 min) Comments: Interesting double CD from Bondage containing rare live recordings from the Seventies. Unfortunately not in excellent sound quality as Bondage used to have. Very good audience recording so to say. The 1976 recordings are a class better than the 1978 recordings. One of the rare boots with live versions of "National Acrobat", "Cornucopia", "Megalomania" and "Spiral Architect". Released in Japan 2001. SAB'S FURORE ------------ (Oh Boy 1-9060) Source: Olympen, Lund, Sweden, 21/4/1977 * Legion Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, 2/9/1978 ** Spectrum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, 6/8/1975 CD: Symptom Of The Universe/Black Sabbath/Dirty Woman/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/ Electric Funeral/N.I.B./Gypsy/Paranoid/Children Of The Grave/Iron Man*/ Killing Yourself To Live** (72:47 min) Comments: Very good stereo. Cover shows band photo. Due to the different sound quality of the songs it doesn't look that the recordings are all from London 1975 as the cover is saying. Tracks are taken from double bootleg albums 'Killing Yourself To Die' or 'Doomsday Recitation' while last two tracks must be from other concert(s). CD available in two versions: one with red "Oh Boy"-label, the other one with yellow "Oh Boy"-label. KILLING YOURSELF TO DIE ----------------------- (Bondage Music BON-041) Source: Olympen, Lund, Sweden, 21/4/1977 CD: Supertzar/Symptom Of The Universe/Snowblind/War Pigs/Black Sabbath/Dirty Woman/Drum Solo/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Iommi Solo/Electric Funeral/Iommi Solo/ N.I.B./Gypsy/Paranoid/Children Of The Grave (72:00 min) Comments: Another copy of "Killing Yourself To Die" this time completely on CD. Same quality as the other bootlegs and supposed to be made in Japan. KILLING YOURSELF TO DIE ----------------------- (Westwood One Live WWL 025) Source: Olympen, Lund, Sweden, 21/4/1977 CD: Supertzar/Symptom Of The Universe/Snowblind/War Pigs/Black Sabbath/Dirty Woman/Drum Solo/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Iommi Solo/Electric Funeral/Iommi Solo/ N.I.B./Gypsy/Paranoid/Children Of The Grave (72:24 min) Comments: A 100% clone of the Bondage "Killing Yourself To Die" CD. Only differences: front cover includes now "Westwood One" logo and a two second break is between each track. Might not be a Japan release so do not pay to much! Released 1998! SYMPTOM OF THE PARANOID ----------------------- (Aces High Sound Production AH CD 001-2) Source: Civic Center, Baltimore, USA, 8/2/1975 * BBC Midlands TV, ??/1/1978 ** Legion Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, 2/9/1978 CD1: Hole In The Sky/Snowblind/Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Megalomania/ Guitar Solo/Drums Solo/Supernaut/Iron Man/Guitar Solo (includes Orchid) (59:00 min) CD2: Guitar Solo/Black Sabbath/Spiral Architect/Embryo/Children Of The Grave/ Paranoid/Snowblind**/Iron Man**/Junior's Eyes* (39:25 min) Comments: Another double CD from Japan 1998 with usual high prices. Numbered and says to be limited to 300 copies. Some of the tracks taken off older vinyl boots. Recording quality is not soundboard as the cover states. WAR PIGS IN PENNSYLVANIA ------------------------ (The Final Mass Records FM-001) Source: Spectrum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA 6/8/1975 * Legion Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, 2/9/1978 CD: Killing Yourself To Live/Hole In The Sky/Snowblind/War Pigs/Embry/ Children Of The Grave/Symptom Of The Universe*/War Pigs*/Gypsy*/Children Of The Grave*/Snowblind*/Black Sabbath*/Iron Man*/Paranoid (74:48 min) Comments: Very exciting CD from Japan, released 2000. Most recordings are known more or less from other bootlegs, tapes and videos. But these one here are coming with amazing good sound quality! WELCOME TO THE ELECTRIC FUNERAL ------------------------------- (Metal Maniacs MM 001) Source: Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, 19/6/1978 CD: Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Snowblind/Never Say Die/Black Sabbath/ Dirty Women/Drum solo/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Guitar solo/Electric Funeral/ Children Of The Grave/Paranoid (55:22 min) Comments: Recording taken from the soundtrack of the official video commemo- rating the 10th anniversary of the band. Excellent mono. Two versions with different label available: a) label shows a couple of bat shapes as well as title, catalogue number and so on, b) label only shows only concentric circles in red, CD comes with two seconds more playtime. ARCHIVES Welcome To The Electric Funeral London 1978 ---------------------------------------------------- (AZIR Record 2003 Archives 2) Source: Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, 19/6/1978 CD: Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Snowblind/Never Say Die/Black Sabbath/ Dirty Women/Drum solo/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Guitar solo/Electric Funeral/ Children Of The Grave/Paranoid (55:24 min) Comments: Russian release of the "Never Say Die" 1978 video recordings. Deluxe artwork with demon design, clear tray, booklet folds out to a small poster showing the front cover. Says limited to 500 copies only, made in 2003. ONE FOR THE NOSE ---------------- (Air Dance Rec. 031) Source: Selland Arena, Fresno, USA, 22/9/1978 CD: Supertzar/Symptom Of The Universe/Snowblind/War Pigs/Never Say Die/Black Sabbath/Shock Wave/Dirty Women/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Electric Funeral/Iron Man/Children Of The Grave/Paranoid (73:35 min) Comments: Very good soundboard recording. Nice artwork too, with rare pictures of the band. First bootleg with "Shock Wave"! Released 1999, might be from Europe, definitely not Japan. FRESNO 1978 ----------- (Z 2016001/2) Source: Selland Arena, Fresno, USA, 22/9/1978 CD 1: Supertzar/Symptom Of The Universe/Snowblind/War Pigs/Never Say Die/ Black Sabbath (37:56 min) CD 2: Shock Wave/Dirty Woman/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Bill's Drum solo/Tony's Guitar solo/Electric Funeral/Iron Man/Children Of The Grave/Paranoid (60:58 min) Comments: Sound Quality is average, audience recording, ok to listen to it. Apparently in stereo though the concert apparently was a mono PA. The speed is too slow I notice "One For The Nose" is at the correct speed. Japan 2000. A second version is available by the label "NeverNeverLand", Catalogue-No. NNL-R-438A/B. But this one is a silver-on-silver CDR with thermal printed label, perfectly done but not factory made. SHOCKWAVE OVER TEXAS -------------------- (Aces High Sound Production AH CD 026) Source: Abilene, Texas, USA, 7/12/1978 CD: Symptom Of The Universe/Snowblind/War Pig/Never Say Die/Black Sabbath/ Shock Wave/Dirty Woman (45:07 min) Comments: Japan bootleg CD from 2001. Numbered and cover says limited to 300 copies. Good soundboard recording. NEWCASTLE NIGHTS ---------------- (Tendolar TDR-098) Source: "Live At Last" album (* Beat Club, Bremen, Germany, 1970) CD: Tomorrows Dream/Sweet Leaf/Killing Yourself To Live/Cornucopia/Snowblind/ Children Of The Grave/War Pigs/Wicked World/Paranoid/Black Sabbath*/ Paranoid*/Iron Man*/Blue Suede Shoes* (74:08 min) Comments: Believe it or not, this is just a clone of the "Live At Last" album, Sabbaths more or less official live album from 1980. Added are the usual live tracks from the Beat Club recordings. Tracklist on back of CD cover is completely false. US bootleg from 1998. ANGELS & DEVILS --------------- (Golden Stars, RMCD 1108, Italy) Source: Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, 19/6/1978 (* Sun Plaza Hall, Tokyo, Japan, 18/11/1980) CD: Supertzar/Symptom Of The Universe/War Pigs/Never Say Die/Dirty Woman/Drum Solo/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Guitar Solo/Electric Funeral/Children Of The Grave/Paranoid/Neon Knights*/Sweet Leaf*/Drum Solo*/Sweet Leaf Reprise*/ Heaven And Hell*/Iron Man* (76:14 min) Comments: Same recordings as on "Amorous Circle", "Nuclear Poisoner", "Live In Tokyo 1980", "666 Demonic Visitations - Live In London 1978", "You Are What You Eat" and "Black Sabbath Featuring Ozzy Osbourne". Very good stereo. Cover shows mutationed face. HEAVENLY HELL ------------- (Dark Side DS-001/DS-002) Source: War Memorial, Rochester, New York, USA, 16/10/1980 CD1: Supertzar/War Pigs/Neon Knights/N.I.B/Children Of The Sea/Black Sabbath (35:42 min) CD2: Heaven And Hell/Iron Man/Guitar Solo/Die Young/Paranoid/Children Of The Grave (46:25 min) Comments: Very good audience soundquality with some recording errors during the songs. Made in Japan and a little bit to expensive. Great artwork! MIAMI 80 -------- (Amsterdam AMS 9618-2-1/2) Source: Sportatorium, Miami, Florida, USA 7/9/1980 CD1: Supertzar/War Pigs/Neon Knights/N.I.B./Children Of The Sea/Sweet Leaf/ Black Sabbath (45:17 min) CD2: Heaven And Hell/Iron Man including Tony Iommi Solo/Die Young/Paranoid/ Children Of The Grave (47:03 min) Comments: Front cover has a good stage shot of the band; back cover shows the four band members "cold weather" photo, widely available throughout the booklet of the remastered "Mob Rules" CD. Sound quality - good. It's a very good audience recording, but is not off the soundboard (so not as sharp as 'Burning The Cross', for example), and suffers from a couple of small dropouts. The gig itself is a fine one! PANDAEMONIUM ------------ (Aces High Sound Production AH CD 008/9) Source: Buffalo, New York, USA, 13/10/1980 CD1: Supertzar/War Pigs/Neon Knights/N.I.B./Children Of The Sea/Sweet Leaf/ Drum Solo/Black Sabbath (42:28 min) CD2: Heaven And Hell/Iron Man/Guitar Solo/Die Young/Children Of The Grave (43:50 min) Comments: Another double-CD bootleg from the famous "Heaven And Hell" tour done by the same company who did "Symptom Of The Paranoid". The sound quality is less good than on "Miami 80" or "Heavenly Hell" so this bootleg is quite a waste of money. Very nice artwork showing the angels from the "Heaven And Hell" cover with the heads of Iommi, Butler and Dio. Numbered and limited to 300 copies. Released 1999, maybe Europe. LIVE IN TOKYO 1980 ------------------ (The Welfare Pig TWC-CD-205) Source: Sun Plaza Hall, Tokyo, Japan, 18/11/1980 CD: Neon Knights/Sweet Leaf/Lady Evil/Black Sabbath/N.I.B./Children Of The Sea/Heaven And Hell/Iron Man (57:57 min) Comments: Same shows as "Amorous Circle" and "Nuclear Poisoner". Execellent stereo. Sound more like on "Amorous Circle". Same picture on front cover as on "Nuclear Poisoner". SABBATH DAY'S JOURNEY --------------------- (Show Co., Show Company SC-9947-16) Source: Sun Plaza Hall, Tokyo, Japan, 18/11/1980 CD: Neon Knights/N.I.B./Children Of The Sea/Sweet Leaf/Lady Evil/Black Sabbath/Heaven And Hell/Iron Man (58:07 min) Comments: Same as "Amorous Circle" and "Live In Tokyo 1980" in excellent mono. Different recording than on first three bootlegs. A real high quality bootleg with excellent group shots on back and front taken from the Japan tour program. Made in Japan. ANGEL AND DEMON --------------- (Faith Records Inc. FCD1 7002/624034-2) Source: Sun Plaza Hall, Tokyo, Japan, 18/11/1980 CD: Supertzar/War Pigs/Neon Knights/N.I.B./Children Of The Sea/Sweet Leaf/ Lady Evil/Black Sabbath/Heaven And Hell/Iron Man (69:44 min) Comments: This is not a plain clone of all the other previous "Tokyo 1980" boots - this is great! "Angel And Demon" contains the complete recordings of that time in exciting good soundquality. Additionally, this is not the radio show, this is soundboard. No voice, no screaming crowd - only Sabbath! Unfortunately this also means: no keys, you never hear a single not by Geoff Nicholls on that CD. Made and released in Japan in 1998! THE LAST SACRAMENT ------------------ (Bondage Music BON258/259) Source: Festival Hall, Osaka, Japan, 21/11/1980 CD1: Supertzar/War Pigs/Neon Knights/N.I.B./Children Of The Sea/Sweet Leaf incl. Drum Solo/Lady Evil/Black Sabbath (49:14 min) CD2: Heaven And Hell/Iron Man/Guitar Solo/Die Young/Paranoid/Children Of The Grave (55:20 min) Comments: As usual from Bondage music a deluxe Japanese bootleg CD. Besides high quality photo artwork (taken from the Japan "Heaven And Hell" tour program 1980) it contains a very good soundboard recording. Released in Japan 2002. BURNING THE CROSS ----------------- (Red Hot RH-015) Source: Newcastle Civic Theatre, NSW., Australia, 27/11/1980 CD: Supertzar/War Pigs/Neon Knights/N.I.B./Children Of The Sea/Sweet Leaf/ Black Sabbath/Heaven And Hell/Iron Man/Die Young/Paranoid (74:26 min) Comments: Claims to be recorded live in Newcastle, Australia on November 27th, 1980, although the band played at Capitol Theatre in Sydney, Australia on that date and the bootleg should be actually from there, too. Says numbered and limited edition to 500 copies. Very good sound quality. Supposed to be made in Australia. DANCE OF THE DEVIL ------------------ (Pirate Records Pirate 145) Source: Memorial Stadium, Seattle, USA, 19/7/1980 CD: War Pigs/Neon Knights/NIB/Children of the Sea/Sweet Leaf/Black Sabbath/ Heaven & Hell/Iron Man/Guitar Solo/Die Young (74:38 min) Comments: Cover has Ozzy-era concert photo. Very good audience recording. One of the rare recordings with Bill Ward on drums! 2nd version of this CD is available where the cover shows a Dio era (Mob Rules tour) live photo (said to be the first edition of this CD)! CD1 is the same show as LONDON HAMMERSMITH ODEON or BLACK SABBATH BUER ALBUM. Made in Italy. Recordings from Chicago are excellent audience recordings and Reading is excellent soundboard, comes close to the Worcester 1983 radio show quality! Front and back cover shows amazing good black and white shots of Tony Iommi and Ian Gillan live. LIVE IN THE UIC PAVILLION, CHICAGO, 18 NOVEMBER, 1983 ----------------------------------------------------- (Barcelona Records) Source: UIC Pavillion, Chicago, Illinois, USA 18/11/1983 CD1: Black Sabbath/Children Of The Grave/Disturbing The Priest/Heaven And Hell/Hot Line/ Iron Man/Paranoid/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Smoke On the Water/Supernaut incl. Drum Solo (68:14 min) CD2: Supertzar/War Pigs/Zero The Hero (18:15 min) Comments: A clone of the Chicago '83 Bondage CD just without the Reading tracks. Nice artwork with rare shots from all Sabbath eras. Play list has been re-arranged, just like with a random function any CD players does - for whatever reasons. Cover says limited to 250 copies. On the CD label it states "Made In Spain" but it is probably from Russia most and first CDs appeared from there, obviously more than 250 are made. Released 2003! SMOKE ON THE WATER ------------------ (Sonic Zoom SZ 2007/2008) Source: Reading Festival, England, 27/8/1983 CD1: Supertzar/Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/War Pigs/Born Again/Supernaut/ Bev Bevan Solo/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Disturbing The Priest/Keep It Warm (48:32 min) CD2: Black Sabbath/Zero The Hero/Tony Iommi Solo/Digital Bitch/Iron Man/ Smoke On The Water/Paranoid (41:30 min) Comments: Complete recording of the first Black Sabbath gig with Ian Gillan from the Reading Festival in England. Recordings made in the crowd so the sound quality is average. Comes in paper cover with nice photos. Made in Japan and to expensive. PARISIAN BITCH -------------- (Bondage Music BON123) Source: Espace Ballard, Paris, France, 30/09/1983 CD: Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/War Pigs/Supernaut/Drum Solo/Rock'n'Roll Roll Doctor/Disturbing The Priest/Guitar Solo/Digital Bitch/Smoke On The Water/Paranoid (51:00 min) Comments: Very good soundboard and good performance. Released in Japan 1997. Frontcover with all the graphics in black & white with silver lettering, shows phozo of Tony with Ian and Geezer(?) in background. The Bondage Music people removed the two incomplete tracks on the usual tape: Iron Man (after Disturbing the Priest), and Black Sabbath (after Digital Bitch). Contains recordings from the "Born Again Tour 1983" in poor audience recording quality. As this bootleg is quite expensive I would say only die-hard fans and collectors should buy it! Cover artwork complety taken from the "Born Again" tour program! BLACK AND PURPLE ---------------- (BS29 & BS30, My Phenix Co.) Specially you can hear extremely good the bass playing of Geezer Butler. Frontcover shows the similiar photo as on "Smoke On The Water" Do-CD. Made in Japan. 'The Dark' version is really exciting! BORN IN HELL ------------ (American Concert Series ACS 076) Source: The Centrum, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, 4/11/1983 CD: Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/War Pigs/Iron Man/Zero The Hero/Heaven And Hell/Solo Iommi/Digital Bitch/Black Sabbath/Smoke On The Water/Paranoid (72:10 min) Comments: Same concert as "The Shadows Of Flame" and "Biking Skulls". Excellent stereo. Origin Italy. See also "Gillan The Hero". GILLAN THE HERO --------------- (Nightlife N-014, Japan) Source: The Centrum, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, 4/11/1983 CD: Supertzar/Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/War Pigs/Iron Man/Zero The Hero/ Heaven And Hell/Solo Iommi/Digital Bitch/Black Sabbath/Smoke On The Water/ Paranoid (74:52 min) Comments: Same concert as "The Shadows Of Flame", "Biking Skulls" and "Born In Hell". Excellent stereo. Front cover shows a look-a-like of the 'Born Again' backcover only different is Bev Bevan instead of Bill Ward. Numbered and limited edition to 1000 copies. But first copies now appeard which have no number so there should be more than 1000 copies made. LIVE IN LONDON -------------- (Monkey Records, 4002, Italy) Source: The Centrum, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, 4/11/1983 CD: Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/Zero The Hero/Heaven And Hell/Solo Tony Iommi/Black Sabbath/Smoke On The Water/Paranoid (44:34 min) Comments: Radio recording. Excellent sound quality. Not complete gig. Same recordings as "Born In Hell", "Gillan The Hero" etc. With voice of radio speaker on beginning! LIVE AT THE READING FESTIVAL 83 ------------------------------- (BYE 95304) Source: The Centrum, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, 4/11/1983 CD: Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/Zero The Hero/Heaven And Hell/Solo Tony Iommi/Black Sabbath/Smoke On The Water/Paranoid (44:34 min) Comments: Recordings taken from radio promo "Captured Live" as on "Born In Hell" etc. Excellent sound quality including also the voice of the radio speaker. Cover says mistakenly recordings were from Reading Festival 1983! Maybe a limited edition of 500 copies or something near that! THE GILLAN TAPES ---------------- (Supernaut Collection SUP 1/97) Source: The Centrum, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, 4/11/1983 CD: Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/War Pigs/Iron Man/Zero The Hero/Heaven And Hell/Solo Tony Iommi/Digital Bitch/Black Sabbath/Smoke On The Water/ Paranoid (72:08 min) Comments: A carbon copy of the "Born In Hell" bootleg CD. Excellent stereo. Probably made in Brazil, but not 100% sure. It contains some inte- resting photos of the band. The front cover shows Geezer/Gillan/ Iommi, the back cover only Ian Gillan on stage. The CD-tray itself has an Tony Iommi picture with his classic guitar and the words "Ashes To Ashes"! IN CONCERT live in worcester ---------------------------- (Rock Head records RHRCD-9906-8, KBFH presents 8015.2) Source: The Centrum, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, 4/11/1983 CD: Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/War Pigs/Iron Man/Zero The Hero/Heaven And Hell/Solo Tony Iommi/Digital Bitch/Black Sabbath/Smoke On The Water/ Paranoid (72:08 min) Comments: Another clone of "Born In Hell". Excellent soundquality as usual and deluxe booklet. Said to be made in Canada, sold only in Russia and Ucraine, 1999. The CD claims itself to be a King Biscuit Flower Hour release which of course it is not. LIVE IN JOHANNESHOVS ISSTADION, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, 19 AUGUST 1983 ----------------------------------------------------------------- (Barcelona Records) Source: Johanneshovs Isstadion, Stockholm, Sweden, 19/8/1983 CD1: Stonehenge/Children Of The Grave/Hot Line/War Pigs/Born Again/Supernaut/ Drum Solo/Rock'n'Roll Doctor/Disturbing The Priest/Keep It Warm/Black Sabbath/The Dark/Zero The Hero (63:33 min) CD2: Iommi Solo/Digital Bitch/Iron Man/Smoke On The Water/Paranoid/Heaven And Hell Reprise (25:28 min) Comments: A copy of the "Bitch" vinyl bootleg CD - first time this recording has been released on silver CD, like "LIVE IN THE UIC PAVILLION, CHICAGO, 18 NOVEMBER, 1983" probably made in Russia and not limited to 250 (opposite to what the cover says). Released 2003! SEVENTH STAR DEMOS with Jeff Fenholt ------------------------------------ (1986 Gimcastle, Castle Communications 1996) Source: Rehearsals for "Seventh Star" album, 1985 CD: Star Of India/Dark Side Of Love/In The Eye Of The Storm/Rock The World/Lock Yourself Away/Don't Turn Away (version one)/Love Has No Mercy (version one)/Love Has No Mercy (version two)/Don't Turn Away (version two) (40:01 min) Comments: Jeff Fenholt was one of the many singers who were auditioned for Tony Iommi's solo album, later released as Black Sabbath feat. Tony Iommi. This CD features very early demos for that album with Fenholt on vocals. The first tracks are more known under the titles: Seventh Star/No Stranger To Love/Turn To Stone ... Many bootleg CDRs are around which contain sometimes more tracks. The CD itself looks like a Castle Remastered - pretty funny. Brilliant sounquality, like on "Eighth Star". STAR OF INDIA ------------- (Bondage Music BON231) Source: demo and rehearsal recordings, probably USA 1985/86 CD: Star Of India (Seventh Star) #1/Take My Heart (No Stranger To Love) #1/ Eye Of The Storm (Turn To Stone) #1/Love On The Line (Heart Like A Wheel)/Star Of India (Seventh Star) #2/Change Of Love (Danger Zone)/ Take My Heart (No Stranger To Love) #2/Eye Of The Storm (Turn To Stone) #2/Star Of India (Seventh Star) #3/Jam #1/Jam #2/Jam #3/The Thrill Is Gone (feat. Lita Ford)/Jam #4/Jam #5/Jam #6 (61:28 min) Comments: The first release of those Jeff Fenholt demos which is widely available via Bondage Music. Japan release from 2001. The sound quality is excellent - as good as demo recordings can be. Less good than "Eighth Star" recordings. This CD unites various version of the demos which were around via the internet for a long time. TURN TO GLENN ------------- (BS5) Source: Final Live Rehearsals, Hollywood, Ca., USA, 14/03/1986 CD: Supertzar/Mob Rules/Children Of The Sea/Danger Zone/War Pigs/Symptom Of The Universe/Sweet Leaf/Zero The Hero/Sphinx (The Guardian)/Seventh Star/Turn To Stone/No Stranger To Love (47:21 min) Comments: Japan bootleg in average sound quality with Glenn Hughes on vocals. Front cover shows photo of the 'Seventh Star'-Line Up. Also re- released as self-burned/faked CD by german CD Traders, CD without label etc./blank! THE RAY GILLEN YEARS -------------------- (Bondage Music BON 025) Source: Helms Fair Arena, Hemisphere, San Antonio, Texas, 28/04/1986 * 'Eternal Idol' Demos CD: Danger Zone/War Pigs/Heart Like A Wheel/Sweet Leaf/Black Sabbath/Neon Knights/Glory Ride*/Lost Forever*/Eternal Idol*/The Shining*/Hard Life To Live*/Ancient Warrior*/Born To Lose* (74:03 min) Comments: Japan bootleg in excellent stereo. Includes a radio broadcast from 1986 and copies from the legendary 'The Eternal Idol' demos. Both feature Ray Gillen (R.I.P.) on vocals. Sold out soon after release! A lot of copies appeard nearly one year after the release. It might be a second edition. The first one was said to be limited to 500. Also re-released as self-burned/faked CD by german CD Traders, CD without label etc./blank! COMPLETE RAY GILLEN YEARS ------------------------- (Bondage Music BON 092) Source: Helms Fair Arena, Hemisphere, San Antonio, Texas, 28/04/1986 * 'Eternal Idol' Demos CD: Danger Zone/War Pigs/Heart Like A Wheel/Symptom Of The Universe (Intro)/ Sweet Leaf/Black Sabbath/Neon Knights/Eternal Idol*/Born To Lose*/Lost Forever*/Nightmare*/Hard Life To Live*/Glory Ride*/Ancient Warrior*/The Shining* (76:25 min) Comments: A re-release of "The Ray Gillen Years" as a limited gold disc edition (that`s what the cover says). Differences to the first edition are the fact that the "Eternal Idol Demos" are taken from different source (without solos, said to be digital remastered) and also including the track "Nightmare"! Released in Japan around 1997! THE RAY GILLEN YEARS -------------------- (Collect Songs) Source: Helms Fair Arena, Hemisphere, San Antonio, Texas, 28/04/1986 * 'Eternal Idol' Demos CD: The Shining*/Ancient Warrior*/Glory Ride*/Hard Life To Love*/Nightmare*/ Lost Forever*/Born To Lose*/Eternal Idol*/Danger Zone/War Pigs/Heart Like A Wheel/Symptom Of The Universe (Intro)/Sweet Leaf/Black Sabbath/Neon Knights (76:06 min) Comments: A clone of the "Complete Ray Gillen Years" with nearly the same cover artwork. Says to be made in Germany, back cover does not list "Neon Knights" even it is on the CD! Live recordings could be from different source! ETERNAL GILLEN -------------- (Fuckhead! Records) Source: Helms Fair Arena, Hemisphere, San Antonio, Texas, 28/04/1986 * 'Eternal Idol' Demos CD: The Shining*/Ancient Warrior*/Hard Life To Love*/Glory Ride*/Born To Lose*/Nightmare*/Lost Forever*/Eternal Idol*/Danger Zone/War Pigs/Heart Like A Wheel/Symptom Of The Universe (Intro)/Sweet Leaf/Neon Knights (73:05 min) Comments: Another copy of the "Eternal Idol Demos" featuring the late Ray Gillen on vocals plus live tracks, all in very good quality. Released in Brazil (?) 1999. Two versions available: a) says on back "(c) 1989 Fuckhead! Records" b) says on back "(c) 1994 Fuckhead! Records" RAY RULES --------- (BS4) Source: Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, 2/6/1986 Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, 3/6/1986 (*) CD: Mob Rules/Danger Zone (*)/War Pigs/The Seventh Star (*)/Die Young/Black Sabbath/N.I.B./Neon Knights/Paranoid(*)/Tony Iommi Solo/Danger Zone (studio)/Tony Iommi Interview Part I/Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (studio)/Tony Iommi Interview Part II (60:41 min) Comments: A complete radioshow with Ray Gillen on vocals. Taken from the same concert as "Sphinx" but definitely not the same recording. Quality is less good than "Sphinx" and also the CD does not contain the complete show. Made in Japan. Includes also two studio tracks plus Tony Iommi Interview stuff. Front covers looks similiar to the "Turn To Glenn" CD. Only difference is a group shot with Ray Gillen instead of Glenn Hughes. Second version with slightly different CD label is available. LAST GIG WITH RAY ----------------- (Langley-277) source: Royal Centre, Nottingham, England, 4/6/1986 CD1: Supertzar/Mob Rules/Children Of The Sea/Danger Zone/War Pigs/Heart Like A Wheel/Symptom Of The Universe/Sweet Leaf/Zero The Hero/Sphinx/Seventh Star/ Turn To Stone/Drum Solo/Die Young (57:33 min) CD2: Black Sabbath/Bass Solo/N.I.B./Neon Knights/Heaven And Hell incl. Iommi Solo (with Orchid, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath main theme)/Paranoid/Tony Iommi Thank You Words (45:31 min) Comments: Another interesting release from Langley - soundboard recordings from the "Seventh Star" tour with Ray Gillen on vocals. Not as good as "Ray Gillen Years" radio show but definitely a gem in any Sabbath (live) collection! Released in Japan 2003. Comments: ETERNAL SHINING --------------- (Bondage Music BON084) Source: Stadthalle, Bremen, Germany, 25/11/1987 CD: Supertzar/Neon Knights/Children Of The Sea/War Pigs/Born To Lose/Black Sabbath/Glory Ride/Heaven And Hell/Children Of The Grave/The Shining/ Paranoid (73:37 min) Comments: Cool bootleg CD from Japan. Exciting good sound quality and great artwork. What else do I have to say? First CD bootleg with recording from 1987! 1989 ---- (Rocks 90082) Source: Koseinen Hall, Osaka, Japan, 19/10/1989 (* Moscow, GUS, November 1989) CD: Headless Cross/Neon Knights/Mob Rules/Solo Iommi/Black Sabbath/Iron Man/ Children Of The Grave/Heaven And Hell/Paranoid/Heaven And Hell*/Paranoid* (60:00 min) Comments: Front cover shows a skull. Songs recorded in Japan got a bad sound because the recordings were to slow, actually Tony Martins sounds like Mickey Mouse. Tracks recorded in Moscow are taken from the "Feels Good To Me" Maxi, very good stereo. DEATH CALLED '89 ---------------- (BS28) Source: Manchester Apollo, Manchester, UK, 09/06/1989, (* Studiotrack) CD: The Gates Of Hell/Headless Cross/Neon Knights/Children Of The Sea/Die Young/Iron Man/When Death Calls/War Pigs/Heaven And Hell/Paranoid/Heaven And Hell (Reprise)/Cloak And Dagger* (62:54 min) Comments: Very good stereo sound quality taken from a radio broadcast. Deluxe artwork and superb soundboard recordings. Perfect for all Tony Martin era fans. Back cover is numbered and says "limited". The 1990 show is in good quality, compareable to "Dies Irae". Same for 1989, tracks 7, 8 on CD2 feat. Ian Gillan. With the 1987 tracks Bondage delivers the missing parts from the "Eternal Shining" CD. Finally the two B-Sides from the famous "The Shining" maxi! The tracks from the Hammersmith Odeon are said to feature Brian May (Heaven And Hell, Paranoid) as well as Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath). Made in Japan. Released in 2003. Another issue of the famous Boston 1992 radiobroadcast. This one has quite an intense sound I must admit. Deluxe artwork, superb sound quality. Most complete release so far, check the playing times! MONSTERS ON THE ROAD (MEGADETH, PANTERA, BLACK SABBATH) ------------------------------------------------------- (Metal Shock MS 001) Source: Monsters Of Rock Festival, Arena Del Chionso, Reggio Emilia, Italy, 12/09/1992 CD: Computer God/Children Of The Sea/Time Machine/Black Sabbath(part)/Master Of Insanity/After All (74:09 min, complete CD) Comments: CD contains also tracks by Pantera and Megadeth. Good stereo. Recordings directly taken from tv show. Different source than "Europe 1993" or "Revivivscence"! EUROPE 1993 ----------- (Golden Stars, GSCD 1288, Italy, 1993, distributed by RED LINE Milan) Source: Monsters Of Rock Festival, Arena Del Chionso, Reggio Emilia, Italy, 12/09/1992 CD: Computer God/Children Of The Sea/Time Machine/War Pigs/Master Of Insanity/ After All/Iron Man/Heaven And Hell (50:21) Comments: Bootleg in excellent quality from the 'Dehumanizer'-Tour. Different source than on 'Reviviscence'. Recordings may taken from soundboard. Due to a FAX I received from the label it was recorded on a concert in Italy in 1992. Best sounding bootleg from the 'Dehumanizer'-Tour so far! It is from the 'Superrock'-Festical in Italy too because the recordings of 'Reviviscence' and 'Europe 1993' sound identical while the sound quality is absolutely different! OZZY OSBOURNE - FINAL CONCERT ----------------------------- (Nova NV-07-1-1 & 2 & 3) Source: Pacific Amphitheatre, Costa Mesa, Los Angeles, USA, 14/11/1992 *Pacific Amphitheatre, Costa Mesa, Los Angeles, USA, 15/11/1992 CD1: E5051/Mob Rules/Computer God/Children Of The Sea/Symptom Of The Universe/ N.I.B./Die Young/Solo Iommi/Into The Void/Heaven And Hell/Supernaut/Neon Knights (56:14 min) CD2: Ozzy Osbourne Band! Quality average/good, recordings are made in the crowd. Made in Japan. Re-released as a self-burned/faked CDRs by german CD Traders, latters are without label etc./blank. With some interesting photos from the show. It contains all the well-known Costa Mesa recordings plus a collection of rare tracks featuring Rob Halford. All tracks taken directly from masters, so the live tracks are as good as on the above listed releases - studio tracks of course are in superb quality. TONY MARTIN AND FRIENDS ----------------------- Source: Schwimmbad, Heidelberg, Germany, 15/11/1992 CD: Walking In The Shadow Of The Blues/Shout/Stargazer/Long Live Rock'n'Roll/ Back Where I Belong/Guitar Solo/Anno Mundi/If It Aint Worth Fight For/It Ain't Good Enough/Crying In The Rain/Ride To Win/Drum Solo/The Gates Of Hell/Headless Cross/Since You've Been Gone (72:03 min) Comments: Not a real Black Sabbath bootleg but with Murray/Martin/Powell it unites about 60% of the "TYR"-Line up. Released in Japan and I would say a very good audience recording. Really exciting stuff for Tony Martin fans. COZY POWELL AND FRIENDS - STARGAZER ----------------------------------- (Jailbait Records JBCD-060) Source: Schwimmbad, Heidelberg, Germany, 15/11/1992 CD: Walking In The Shadow Of The Blues/Shout/Stargazer/Long Live Rock'n'Roll/ Back Where I Belong/Guitar Solo/Anno Mundi/Crying In The Rain/If There Is A Heaven/Ride To Win - Drum Solo (1812)/Gates Of Hell/Headless Cross/Since You've Been Gone (72:54 min) Comments: More or less same recording as on "Tony Martin And Friends". They skipped some tracks from Tony Martins solo album for that release but included the crowds yelling before the encore. Remixes from the "TYR" album, rehearsals from the "Dehumanizer" album, most with completely different lyrics, "Forbidden" in rough mix: that's more one could imagine to get. Very good studio sound as on the other rehearsal tape releases ("Eighth Star" etc.). Released in Japan 2003. Limited and numbered (300 copies made). Some drop outs here and there. Deluxe artwork. Japan release from 2003. BEAST IN HEAVEN --------------- (BS-001) Source: Karlshamn Rockfestival, Sweden, 16/06/1995 CD: The Gates Of Hell/Neon Knights/The Shining/The Wizard/War Pigs/Headless Cross/Solo Iommi/Rusty Angels/I Won't Cry For You/The Mob Rules/Black Sabbath (51:03 min) Comments: Japan bootleg from 1996. Recordings taken from radio show as on "Wizard Over Stockholm". Exciting sound quality. Front cover shows "Forbidden" studio line up. WIZARD OVER STOCKHOLM --------------------- (Fire Power FP-013) Source: Karlshamn Rockfestival, Sweden, 16/06/1995 CD: The Gates Of Hell/Neon Knights/The Shining/The Wizard/War Pigs/Headless Cross/Solo Iommi/Rusty Angels/I Won't Cry For You/The Mob Rukes/Black Sabbath/Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (part) (54:40 min) Comments: Japan bootleg from 1996. Like "Beast In Heaven" recordings are taken from radio show. Very good sound quality. Compared with "Beast In Heaven" the sound quality is less good on "Wizard Over Stockholm". Lot of spelling mistakes of the songs on the backcover. LIVE IN UK 1995 --------------- (H-Bomb Music HBM 9617 A/B) Source: London Sheperds Bush Empire, UK, 10/11/1995 CD1: Ave Satani (Intro)/Children Of The Grave/Neon Knights/The Shining/The Wizard/Kiss Of Death/Headless Cross/Rusty Angels/When Death Calls/Sabbath Bloody Sabbath/Can't Get Close Enough (62:39 min) CD2: War Pigs/Drum Solo/Mob Rules/Black Sabbath/Heaven And Hell/Guitar Solo/ Orchid (extended Version)/Heaven And Hell (Reprise)/Iron Man/Paranoid/ Heaven And Hell (Reprise) (54:56 min) Comments: Japan bootleg. About 2000 to 3000 copies were made. Very good qua- lity. Front cover shows a photo of Tony Iommi. FORBIDDEN - ROUGH MIX --------------------- (Home(r) Entertainment Network HEN 048) Source: Demo tape CD: The Illusion Of Power/Forbidden/Shaking Off The Chains/Can't Get Close Enough/Guilty As Hell/Black Ice (Get A Grip)/Song In B (Loser Gets It All)/Kiss Of Death/I Won't Cry For You/Blue (Sick And Tired)/ Rusty Angels Can't Fly (47:20 min) Comments: One of the most interesting CDs from the Tony Martin era - contains the complete "Forbidden" album (incl. Bonustrack for the Japanese release) without vocals in a rough mix. Source seems to be a demo tape which is displayed on the back - sound quality compareable to the "Eighth Star" releases. CD comes as digipack. Released in 2003 - perhaps from Germany. TONY IOMMI WITH GLENN HUGHES - EIGHTH STAR ------------------------------------------ (Grand Cross GC-001) Source: Tony Iommi's Solo Album Session, August 1996 * Jethro Tull Tribute Album (without Tony Iommi) + "No Stranger To Love" US Promo-Maxi 1986 CD: Not The Same/I'm Gone/Real World/Don't You Tell Me/I'll Be Fine/From Another World/Through The Rain/Shakin' My Wings*/No Stranger To Love (Remix 1986)+ (45:36 min) Comments: Japan bootleg from 1999. Contains the ultra-rare demo-sessions from 1996 with Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes. Not really a Black Sabbath bootleg but definitely the follow-up to "Seventh Star". Besides that it contains a cover versiom of Jethro Tull's "Cry You A Song" (Shakin' My Wings) and the video Remix of "No Stanger To Love". Numbered and limited to 500. In the year 2000 another edition was done, again 500 copies, only difference: on the back instead of numbered it says "Second Edition". TONY IOMMI WITH GLENN HUGHES - EIGHTH STAR ------------------------------------------ (Grand Cross GC-001) Source: Tony Iommi's Solo Album Session, August 1996 * Jethro Tull Tribute Album (without Tony Iommi) + "No Stranger To Love" US Promo-Maxi 1986 CD: Not The Same/I'm Gone/Real World/Don't You Tell Me/I'll Be Fine/From Another World/Through The Rain/Shakin' My Wings*/No Stranger To Love (Remix 1986)+ (45:03 min) Comments: Re-release of the first Grand Cross CD "Eighth Star" - does not look like a Japanese one, maybe from Italy due the price. The CD label is the same as first issues but the cover has changed. The CD also is a bit shorter - all songs are faded in. Appeared middle of 2000! TONY IOMMI WITH GLENN HUGHES - EIGHTH STAR ------------------------------------------ (2008) Source: Tony Iommi's Solo Album Session, August 1996 * Jethro Tull Tribute Album (without Tony Iommi) + "No Stranger To Love" US Promo-Maxi 1986 CD: Not The Same/I'm Gone/Real World/Don't You Tell Me/I'll Be Fine/From Another World/Through The Rain/Shakin' My Wings*/No Stranger To Love (Remix 1986)+ (45:02 min) Comments: A clone taken off the first release from "Eighth Star" (Grand Cross). Complete different cover, maybe a European release. Made in 2000. A little bit shorter than the original - all tracks are faded in. TONY IOMMI WITH GLENN HUGHES - EIGHTH STAR ------------------------------------------ () Source: Tony Iommi's Solo Album Session, August 1996 * Jethro Tull Tribute Album (without Tony Iommi) + "No Stranger To Love" US Promo-Maxi 1986 CD: Not The Same/I'm Gone/Real World/Don't You Tell Me/I'll Be Fine/From Another World/Through The Rain/Shakin' My Wings*/No Stranger To Love (Remix 1986)+ (45:36 min) Comments: Fifth version of "Eighth Star" - taken directly off the first Grand Cross edition. So far only appeared on www.ebay.com - so maybe US release, 2001! OZZY OSBOURNE - ZAKKMAN COMETH ------------------------------ (UWF Records UWF003-A/B) Source: Ozzfest, USA, 1/3/1998 * Live Aid, John F. Kennedy Stadium, Philadelphia, USA, 13/7/1985 + Ozzfest, USA, ??/??/1997 CD1: Ozzy Osbourne solo band (62:58 min) CD2: Ozzy Osbourne solo band/Children Of The Grave*/Iron Man*/Paranoid*/Into The Void+/Sweet Leaf+/Black Sabbath+/Fairies Wear Boots+/Paranoid+ (65:50 min) Comments: Another bootleg from Japan released 1998. Ozzfest recordings of Ozzy solo and Black Sabbath are less acceptable audio recordings while Live Aid seems to be taken off video, quality less acceptable too. For collectors only I would judge. The good point on Ozzy's show is that Zakk Wylde is on guitar which makes most songs in my eyes more interesting than they would be played by Joe Holmes. OZZY RULES BUDAPEST ------------------- (BS 03 06 98) Source: Kisstadion, Budapest, Hungary 3/6/1998 CD: War Pigs/N.I.B./Fairies Wear Boots/Snowblind/Into The Void/Spiral Architect/Lord Of This World/Sweet Leaf/Electric Funeral/Black Sabbath/ Iron Man/Children Of The Grave (73:43 min) Comments: Good sound quality show from the Euro Reunion tour. It is said that Ozzy sings better on that CD than on the US tour. Sounds like soundboard but due to voices from the crowd it is an audience recording. Not from Japan, released in 1999! A cheap reissue is known - no clear tray, only one-sided booklet and the CD-label only shows some stars while the original has title, catalogue number etc. written on it. SABBATH FINALLY SABBATH ----------------------- (Shout To The Top STTP 091) Source: LA Forum, USA, 06/01/1999 CD: Intro/War Pigs/Fairies Wear Boots/After Forever/Electric Funeral/Sweet Leaf/Into The Void/Snowblind/Dirty Woman/Black Sabbath (67:51 min) Comments: Japanese bootleg from 2000 with professional artwork. Tracklisting as you can see is more or less ordinary, soundquality can be described as "worse soundboard" - sounds like done with a DAT machine connected to a cheap microphone. For collectors only! SAN JOSE 1999 ------------- (Colosseum 99-C-032-A/B) Source: San Jose Arena, San Jose, CA, USA, 8/1/1999 CD1: Intro/War Pigs/N.I.B./Fairies Wear Boots/After Forver/Electric Funeral/ Sweet Leaf (49:27 min) CD2: Snowblind/Dirty Woman/Black Sabbath/Iron Man/Children Of The Grave/ Paranoid/Changes (outro) (40:09 min) Comments: Excellent soundboard recording from Sabbaths final reunion tour 1999 in America. Available with differently labeled discs (picture or plain text). SAN JOSE 99 ----------- (BSSJ 99 1 / 2) Source: San Jose Arena, San Jose, CA, USA, 8/1/1999 * Ahoy Arena, Rotterdam, Netherlands, 10/12/1999 CD1: Intro/War Pigs/N.I.B./Fairies Wear Boots/After Forver/Electric Funeral/ Sweet Leaf/Into The Void/Snowblind/Dirty Woman/Black Sabbath (72:56 min) CD2: Iron Man/Children Of The Grave/Paranoid/N.I.B./Fairies Wear Boots/After Forver/Electric Funeral/Sweet Leaf/Into The Void/Tomorrow's Dream/ Supernaut~Paranoid medley/Changes (outro) (72:13 min) Comments: Excellent soundboard recording from Sabbaths final reunion tour 1999 in America and Europe. Italian release from 2000. Re-released as silver-on-silver CDR by the NeverNeverLand label under the title of "Hell Visits San Jose" (nearly the same artwork). REUNION TWO YEARS AFTER ----------------------- (Bondage Music BON185) Source: Astoria Theatre, London, UK, 5/12/1999 * taken from promotional CD (Danny Saber mixes) CD: War Pigs/N.I.B./Fairies Wear Boots/After Forever/Into The Void/Black Sabbath/Iron Man/Embryo/Children Of The Grave/Psycho Man */Selling My Soul * (65:47 min) Comments: Another nice bootleg from Bondage Music, Japan. Released 2000 and contains a radio broadcoast from Sabbaths London gig 1999. Good quality! ON THE SEVENTH DAY ------------------ (BS 1999) Source: Astoria Theatre, London, UK, 5/12/1999 CD: War Pigs/N.I.B./Fairies Wear Boots/After Forever/Into The Void/Black Sabbath/Iron Man/Embryo/Children Of The Grave (59:02 min) Comments: Same recording as "Reunion Two Years After" but not Japanese release, made in 2000. THE FUNDAMENTAL CHURCH OF ROCK ------------------------------ () Source: Astoria Theatre, London, UK, 5/12/1999 * Pacific Amphitheatre, Costa Mesa, Los Angeles, USA, 15/11/1992 CD: War Pigs/N.I.B./Fairies Wear Boots/After Forever/Into The Void/Band Introduction/Black Sabbath/Embryo/Children Of The Grave/Fairies Wear Boots */Iron Man */Paranoid (75:22 min) Comments: Another clone of the Astoria 1999 radio show plus some tracks from the 1992 reunion gig. Excellent sound. Looks like made in Italy. Released 2002! ARCHANGEL RIDES AGAIN --------------------- (Rockdoor Possibilities ARF 1) CD: Announcement by Frank Zappa/Snowblind/Black Sabbath/Iron Man (Legion Arena, Pittsburgh Sept.1978)/Paranoid-Heaven And Hell-Blues Jam (Iommi & Lita Ford, Capitol Theatre, Passaic, New Jersey, Nov.1984)/Blue Suede Shoes (Beat Club, Bremen, Germany, 1970)/Junior's Eyes (with Dave Walker, BBC Midlands TV Jan.1978)/Song For Jeffrey (Iommi with Jethro Tull, "Great Rock'n'Roll Circus Dec.11.1968, announcement by Mick Jagger)/Tall Stories (Bill Ward Solo as from Metal Shop, Oct.1986)/Neon Knights (Dio & Geezer Butler, Minneapolis Aug.28.1990)/Heaven And Hell/Paranoid (New York 1991 featuring Brian May). (72:33 min) Comments: CD version of "Archangel" boot including some new tracks. Two different CD labels are available: with and without "ARF 1-01" printed on it. Deluxe color cover, made in France and released somewhere in 1996. Very small edition which is sold out now! Different sound quality. But exciting track list!
